I will never forget standing in my friend's kitchen at her Christmas party one year ago this Christmas. I was suddenly overwhelmed with the feeling of defeat as I sampled EVERY single dessert she had placed on her kitchen table.
I had NO plan of how I was going to be exercising the next day, week or even year despite my gym membership. I had NO plan of nutrition or portion control--I didn't even know what that would look like for me?? And I certainly had noone to keep me accountable. My husband, family and friends loved me just the way I was, so "oh well...". BUT, the problem was this: I was starting to UNlove myself. I was starting to let doubt, defeat, despair and hoplessness take over. The enemy has funny ways of working doesn't he?! However, I knew I was made for more than living out those feelings. I knew I was made for a good work that could only be fulfilled when I started believing in the truths that were created for me!
I made a decision the next day to sign up for my first ever virtual fitness challenge group. It was 21 days of 30-minute workouts, a daily superfood nutrition shake, a portion control meal plan that was normal people food, and I still got to have chocolate and wine.

2016 vs. 2017
After my first 21 days, I had gotten better results than I ever had by spinning the tredmill at the gym. My confidence was getting stronger which gave me the motivation to keep going.

Since 2016, these monthly support groups have helped me just as much as I help them. We understand life happens and help each other dial back in with healthy habits that create success. I've learned to eat healthy, workout daily, and surround my thoughts with what God wants me to focus on. Being the best version of me, so I can serve my family and others well.
